Over the summer this year, a great movie came out. This
movie was Guardians of the Galaxy and was arguably the best movie to come out
over the summer. This movie was based on the Marvel comic called Guardians of
the Galaxy. It was produced by Marvel Studios, the same studio that created
Iron Man, Thor, and The Avengers. Guardians of the Galaxy was very different
from the other movies that Marvel has made. It was more focused on comedy and
being funny while their other movies are focused on action. This movie still
had its fair share of action but definitely seemed to focus on comedy.
Guardians
of the Galaxy is about a man named Peter Quill who finds an infinity stone. He
doesn’t know what it is and tries to sell it on the black market. He gets
attacked by an assassin, Gamora, and two bounty hunters, Groot and Rocket. They
all get taken to jail where they meet a powerful inmate named Drax. They all
work together to break out of jail and then they go and try to find a buyer for
the stone. The stone gets taken from them by Ronan who plans to use it to
destroy the planet Xander. The Guardians of the Galaxy get help from a group of
people called the Ravagers, which Quill used to be a part of, to defeat Ronan.
The Ravagers, the Guardians, and a group called the Nova-Corps manage to crash
Ronan’s ship. The Guardians take out Ronan by using the infinity stone.
Guardians
of the Galaxy is the tenth movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This means that all the movies in the Marvel
Cinematic Universe take place in the same fictional world. It means characters
in one movie could meet and help characters in another movie. If something is
changed in one movie it would carry over to the other movies as well. However
movies not in this universe wouldn’t affect this universe. For example, if a
monument or something was destroyed in a Superman movie it wouldn’t be
destroyed in an Iron Man Movie.
Guardians
of the Galaxy was a really good movie. In my opinion it was the best movie that
came out this summer. I liked it so much because of the lighthearted humor that
was thrown out constantly during this movie. I know that many people loved this
movie and it did really well in the box office. There has been talk about how
they’re going to make a sequel which I would personally love to see.
